This is a draft programme, some of the later events may change. Definite activities are in BOLD. An "outdoor night" means wear suitable outdoor clothing and footwear. In the Winter, bring a torch.

The following are the Explorer Night activities - we have not planned any dates yet. In addition the leaders will be organising their set of meetings and activities. More information after we meet on Tuesday evening.

- Flag night - the unit combines to make a unit flag.
- Climbing wall visit - we have had a good visit to the Depot, Pudsey, now we will be arranging another date for a weekend.
- Mini-olympic competition

- Indoor pioneering night - egg transport, cane shooters etc.
- Outdoor pioneering - towers, runway, bridges
- Making things from wood night - to cover axes, saws, knives, augers - carving, drilling, sawing, splitting and the making of pointy sticks.
- Wige games
- Parachute drop
- Fire lighting
- Outdoor cooking competition
- Scouting skills competition
- Weekends and other activities
- Whitby Youth Hostel weekend. (Frank is organising this.)
2010
- Tues 4th May Canoeing
- Normally on a Wednesday, but this week on a Tuesday. Meet at 6-30pm, return at about 9pm. For kit, see our canoeing check list.
- Thurs 6th May Make something from wood night
- The aim is advanced proficiency with an axe, saw and knife.
- Sun 9th June Boulder Wall Climbing
- Provisional date at the Depot. Meet 2pm, back about 5pm.
- Wed 12th May Canoeing
- Meet at 6-30pm, return at about 9pm. For kit, see our canoeing check list.
- Thurs 13th May Fire lighting
- This evening will involve lighting fires and cooking outdoors.
- Wed 19th May Canoeing
- Meet at 6-30pm, return at about 9pm. For kit, see our canoeing check list.
- Thurs 20th May Pioneering night
- Perhaps a river crossing.
- Wed 26th May Canoeing
- Meet at 6-30pm, return at about 9pm. For kit, see our canoeing check list.
- Thurs 27th May Barbecue
- Competition to see who can produce the tastiest barbie food.
- Thurs 3rd JuneWide game
- Meet 7pm, end about 10-30pm.
- Sun 13th June - Raft Race.
- As per usual, at Scaur Bank, Wetherby.
- Run for All, Leeds - run or help. Sunday July 4th.
- If running sign up at the registration page. If you are prepared to collect sponsorship, you don't have to pay the registration.
- District Camp, Bramham - Weekend July 2nd-4th July.
- I think you should try to get a better programme for Explorers and older scouts.
- Fri/Sun 2/4th July - Dragnet.
- You liked Apex, try this mega wide game in the Lake District.
- Sat 24 July - Tues 3rd August - Summer Expedition, Holland
- Saturday 24th July: we meet at about 6pm and travel to Hull for the Ferry. Return on the morning of Tuesday 3rd August arriving about 10-30 am. These details to be confirmed after we have booked the ferry. More details on the special web page.
